The Bridge Educational Foundation is an organization that’s essential purpose is to provide scholarship opportunities for low income families. The organization has donated a lot of money to our school for families such as these, and every year our school has a held a special presentation explaining to the students and the faculty what exactly they do, and how much they help our school. However, it isn’t just our school that garners help. Other schools in the area, such as DuBois Christian Schools, Punxsutawney Christian School, Ss. Cosmas and Damian School, St. Boniface & St. Leo Schools also receive aid, and will have representatives from their respective schools at the presentation. Other important citizens, such as President pro tempore of the Pennsylvania Senate Joe Scarnati, State Representative from the 75th Legislative District and DCC alumnus Matt Gabler, and Waste Management’s Pennsylvania representative Erika Young.

This year, the foundation has donated $51,000 in scholarship money to the families of Clearfield, Elk, and Jefferson counties. At the presentation, a large check with the amount of money being donated will be featured. The Foundation has been helping our school out, as well as many other schools, for years. We are very appreciative of their help, which is the purpose of the presentation. Several students will be present to interact with the government representatives and those from the donating businesses. The presentation takes place on Tuesday, November 28th, and begins around 9:00 a.m. We’d like to thank the Bridge Foundation for all that they do for us, and what they do for other schools too.
