Cross-age activities are one of the great benefits of having a PK-12 school.  Our older students often help with activities for the younger ones.  But in this art project, the elementary students lead the way with their creative imaginations.

Ms. Roy’s 3rd grade art students created stories with brilliant illustrations to go along with them. The students typed their stories with the help of Ms. Winslow, the technology teacher and even stitched their books together.

Ms. Helman’s high school art students learned about sewing, and transforming something two-dimensional into something 3D. They took this knowledge and created a “stuffie” of a character found in the 3rd graders’ stories. The high school art students revealed the “stuffies” they created and gave them to the third graders today. The third graders were very excited to see their characters come to life.
