It is that time of year again where we send off our baseball and softball teams to the district playoffs. Both teams of DCC have had phenomenal seasons as expected by the fan base of our school. The baseball team has been given the number one seed overall in the playoffs after a outstanding 15-2 season, while the girls have been ranked as the fifth seed after a what would have been an undefeated season but due to a technicality their seed has been lowered.

The DCC softball team traveled to Coudersport on Wednesday, May 15 for the first round of the playoffs. To no surprise, the girls had no trouble moving on as they scored with ease, and the game ended 15-3 after just five innings. All of us here at DCC wish the girls luck as they travel to Benzinger to play the number one seed Otto Eldred in the second round on Friday, May 24 at 4:00 pm.

After a phenomenal season the boys have earned a first round bye in the district playoffs. The boys play their first game on Friday, May 24 in Punxsutawney at 4:00 pm to play rivals Elk County Catholic. We wish the boys good luck on their journey to the district final.
