Just as families celebrate birthdays, the Central family celebrates the many years our teachers and staff have devoted to Catholic Education.  After our last school Mass on Thursday, the Feast of the Ascension, Mrs. Caruso and Mrs. Miller recognized those members of staff who are marking a special year at DCC.

Teachers and staff who have been at Central for 5 years include Mr. Bill Champlin, Tech Director; Mrs. Lauren Rice, Math Teacher; and Mrs. Alena Park, Math Teacher.

Mr. Joseph Lesnick, Music Teacher, has been working at DCC for 10 years.

For 15 years Mrs. Melissa Noroski has taught in the elementary program. Most of that time she has spent teaching our littlest Cardinals.

Teachers who are celebrating 30 years in our system are Mr. James Murphy, English Teacher and Mrs. Lisa Blasdell, Technology Teacher.

A favorite staff member who makes us all smile, Kevin Anderson, Bookkeeper,  has been a part of the Central family for 35 years.  Miss Linda Schalk has also been with us for 35 years teaching elementary students to read, write, think and so much more.

A special recognition was given to Mrs. Joyce Taylor who has been at DCC for 35 years as first an English teacher and then the Director of Development.  She is retiring this year after giving so much of herself to the school.  Her kind heart and gentle spirit will be greatly missed.

Mrs. Donna Chollock was recognized for her 50 years of service to DCC.  She has taught mainly science, but maybe more importantly has shown students how to develop a life-long love of learning.  She is also retiring this year, and her positive attitude and love of education will be missed by staff and students alike.

Teachers also enjoyed a catered luncheon today in celebration.
