DCC Theology Classes Participate in ‘Operation Christmas Child’

Jaci Mennetti, Staff Writer

This year, all of DCC’s Middle School and High School theology classes are filling shoeboxes to send to kids in need. This is a great way to get the students involved in helping others as we approach the holidays.

Each class had a choice of the gender of the child along with their age group. Then the class had to work together to buy several items for the child. They had to buy a ‘wow’ item which could be a stuffed animal, a doll, or a toy truck. Then they also were to get various items that the kid might need such as school supplies or hygiene items.  The challenge was trying to fit all the items in a shoebox.
