On Wednesday, November 20th, forty  of the high school students joined Mrs. Stringer and Miss Mckillop in attending the Faraday Lecture at the University of Pittsburgh. This year’s lecture was presented by David D’Emilio who is a skilled chemical demonstration expert. The demonstrations were performed at the chemistry department on campus.

Mr. D’Emilio performed demonstrations involving the transition from the Big Bang Theory to stars, stardust, cosmic dust, and atoms. The event was also very interactive as there were several presentations in which he picked volunteers from the audience. The students really enjoyed attending and it was a truly educational experience for all.
