DCC Participates in United Way Week

Allison Robinson, Senior Photographer

Every year, DCC dedicates one week in the fall to United Way. During United Way Week, we have themed dress down days and special activities. Our seniors present their Halloween skits on Friday.

What is United Way? United Way “works to improve lives by mobilizing the caring power of communities around the world to advance the common good.”

United Way raises money to help provide food, shelter, clothing, and essential needs for their local families who struggle to provide for their family. United Way also helps students who may struggle to pay for college by giving them the textbooks they need, food, shelter, and all the other essentials.

Monday – Hawaiian Day & Big Brother/Big Sister

Tuesday – Favorite Sports Team & Trivia Game

Wednesday – Dress Code or Better & Mass

Thursday – Tie Dye & Bingo Game

Friday – Halloween or Class Shirts & Senior and Teacher Halloween Skits
