DCC Alumnus Riley Meyers Ranks #2 Nationally in the 2021 NCAA 400 Meter Hurdles

Central’s very own alumnus Riley Meyers (Class of 2017) has ranked #2 nationally in the 2021 NCAA Division III 400 meter hurdles.

Riley attends Bethany College in West Virginia on a full-ride scholarship to play soccer, but she has also been involved in track which she excelled at during her career at Central.  During her senior year at Central, she competed in state competition for hurdles. According to former DCC Track Coach Tom Shade, “Riley put DCC on the map when she was here and now is doing Bethany College the same honor.  Riley obviously has the same great work ethic and fearless attitude.”

Bethany College was a good choice for her since she is majoring in Pre-Law, and they have a 3-3 program with Duquesne Law School.  There are no doubts that DCC’s former Mock Trial star will succeed in her career aspirations.

She has also served as Senior Class President and SAAC (Student Athlete Advisory Committee) President at Bethany College.

We are Cardinal Proud of you, Riley!!!!!
