DCC Second Grade Enjoys Stream Activity Related to Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

According to STREAM teacher, Mrs. Chris Felix, the students read the book Balloons over Broadway.  The story is about the history of the Macy’s parade and  how an inventor made balloons that articulate or move.

The students were inspired to make their own balloon floats that they could control as they walked in the parade. Not everyone did a balloon float.   Some of the students designed and built  wheeled floats out of Knex and Legos.

Then they showed them off throughout the building!  Everyone loves a parade!!!
