Thanksgiving Feasts Celebrated at DCC

Students in first grade and all day preschool enjoyed learning about Thanksgiving and enjoying a meal together.  They gathered at a long table in the gym and prayed together to thank God for the food.  Then they enjoyed turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn. and a pumpkin muffin.  There were a lot of giggles and chatter in the room.

One student who was a picky eater tried some of the foods for the first time.  He was anxious to let his teacher know he really liked them.

Second grade had missed the chance to have the traditional feast because of the pandemic, so they focused on the concept of thanksgiving as a form of prayer in preparation for their delicious meal.

It is great to see traditions continuing and students enjoying each other with a great lunch.
