Students in Mrs. Amy Gillung’s biology class developed  STREAM projects for harvesting the wind. The students asked themselves what is the best design for a wind turbine that can harvest the maximum amount of energy after a lesson in various forms of energy.

Students have learned about air pressure, pressure and air movement, and wind patterns. The students also learned about the design of a turbine, the components, and the ways they can be utilized as a renewable resource.

Mrs. Gillung was really pleased with the students designs and completed projects.  She used a fan to give the students a chance to really see their turbines in motion.
