DCC held it’s annual junior-senior prom Friday night, May 13th, 2022, at the Treasure Lake Lakeview Lodge. The event’s theme was “The Roaring 20’s”, featuring lots of grand, golden décor that created an atmosphere comparable to a Gatsby party. The dance was organized by the junior class prom committee and its advisor, Mrs. Liddle and Mrs. Osterman.

The night began with promenade, as attendees were announced by Mrs. Carol Korthaus and posed for pictures for the paparazzi… otherwise known as parents. The students then proceeded to take their seats for the buffet-style dinner provided by Catering by Paulette. The menu featured baked ham, stuffed chicken, penne alfredo, parsley potatoes, garden salad, fruit salad, and of course, desserts!

In lieu of formal portraits, Maxx Booths put on a photo booth, complete with props and physical prints for students to create their own masterpieces.

After formalities had concluded, it was time for dancing. Holly Deemer, a Central alum and favored DJ, returned to provide music for the event.

Around halfway through the dance, the DCC Prom King and Queen were announced. The winners were seniors, Hayes Cooper and Helena Hess.

All in all, the night was a fun time for everyone and a great way for upperclassmen to nearly wrap up the 2021-2022 school year!
